Over the next 18–24 months, TLC Inc. will continue developing and launching programs that respond to real needs experienced by children, families, adult learners, and individuals working toward greater stability.
Our Annual Back-2-School Drive helps children begin the school year with confidence by providing backpacks, school supplies, and school uniforms. The initiative also creates opportunities to connect parents and caregivers with helpful resources that support everyday family needs, including information, referrals, community support, and practical assistance.
The Lighthouse Literacy Program is an after-school initiative designed to help children strengthen their reading, writing, speaking, comprehension, and communication skills. Children will participate in age-appropriate groups so activities and support can meet them at their current learning level. TLC Inc. is also exploring a future youth public-speaking pathway for children interested in communication, leadership, advocacy, broadcasting, ministry, or public speaking as a future career.
Our Weekend Tutoring Program will provide grade-school children with additional academic support outside regular classroom hours. The initiative is being developed to assist students with reading, writing, homework completion, study habits, foundational learning skills, and academic confidence.
Feeding Families for the Holiday is a seasonal outreach initiative designed to bring families together around a complete holiday meal. TLC Inc. plans to invite approximately 12–25 whole families to share a Thanksgiving or Christmas meal in a welcoming community setting while also preparing approximately 50–100 take-home meals for additional families needing support.
The Christmas Toy Drive will help provide toys and gifts to children whose families may be experiencing financial hardship, displacement, or other challenges during the holiday season. This initiative is about more than gifts. It is about helping children feel remembered, valued, and loved.
The Lighthouse Closet is being developed as a dignified, store-like clothing space where parents and caregivers can bring their children to select clothing at no cost. The current model allows a parent or caregiver to choose one outfit for themselves and two outfits per child. Our goal is to create a welcoming space where families receive support through dignity, choice, and care.
TLC Inc. is developing a scholarship initiative for graduating 12th-grade students and adult learners who want to continue their education. This includes individuals pursuing college, trade school, vocational training, certification programs, GED-to-career pathways, and other qualifying higher-education opportunities. We believe education can open doors, restore confidence, and create new possibilities for individuals and families.
A Beacon of Hope is TLC Inc.'s comprehensive family and individual stabilization initiative. This program is being developed to assist families, displaced families, and individuals as they transition toward stable living.
Planned areas of support include financial literacy, life skills, family reunification support, job-skills training, employment readiness, temporary housing support, business start-up counseling and assistance, and access to mental and emotional counseling through qualified providers and community partners.
A Beacon of Hope represents the heart of our long-term mission: not only helping people survive difficult seasons, but helping them rebuild, grow, and move forward.
As TLC Inc. continues building these programs, we are inviting individuals, families, businesses, and community supporters to become Founders Club Members.
Founders Club Members are early supporters helping lay the foundation for the future of TLC Inc. Their support helps us develop programs, serve families, prepare events, strengthen partnerships, and expand the reach of our work.
Founders Club Members are more than donors. They are foundation builders.
Founders Club Members may receive recognition through TLC Inc.'s website, bi-weekly newsletter, social media platforms, event acknowledgments, and future Founders Club updates.
Most importantly, their names become connected to the early foundation of something being built to serve children, families, and communities for years to come.
